Entering the Blogosphere

“The mission of the Taipei European School is to provide educational excellence and European culture and values within the context of Taiwanese society”

Welcome to my first posting on my very first blog!
Each class in the British Primary Section (Infant and Junior) will be launching their blogs today to provide parents with a window into their child's learning. Mrs Martin (British Infant Head) and I decided that it was time to also become part of the 'blogosphere' and use our blogs to communicate to parents and students. I will be writing a post every two weeks instead of using the fortnightly newsletter (the Wen Lin Journal). I will use my blog to inform you of what has been happening in school and also to let you know about future events. Sometimes there will be links to interesting sites about educational matters and useful tips for parents.
If you would like to receive an email notification each fortnight then please sign up to my blog on this page.
PTA: All parents are automatically members of the British Primary Section Parent/Teacher Association. If you would like to come along to the next meeting please join us in the Conference Room (opposite Junior section office) on Thursday 17th October at 8:45am. If you are new to the school then please note that this is a great way to make new friends. If you would like an opportunity to meet up with any members of the PTA Committee before the meeting then please let me know. We are always looking for people to help support the PTA's fantastic fund raising activities.
Future Events:
17th September 8:50am  Class 6.2 Assembly for parents
19th & 20th  September  No school
24th September 8:15am  Class 4.2 Assembly for parents
26th - 27th September    Camp Taiwan for Year 4
27th September              Social Event for the TES community 'Autumn Festiva'l 6:00 - 9:00pm

Thank you for attending our first Parent/Teacher meetings last night. The meetings help us establish a partnership with you and this is key to your child's success at school. If you weren't able to make it and would like to see any of the teachers please make an appointment, either through the office or through the home/link diary.

Have an enjoyable weekend.

Kind regards

Adele Corry
